Athletics is competition. There is not much point in joining a club or training if the young athlete is not going to compete. Team Managers and Coaches will encourage and expect athletes to compete whenever possible.
The Club competes in a full range of competition - Track and Field, Cross Country, Road, and Sportshall events - throughout the year. The following is a list of some of the events available for all ages and abilities mainly as Club team members but also as individuals, from low key Open meetings to high profile National Championships.
Selection
League teams are selected by Team Managers after discussion with Athletes and Coaches, athletes being asked individually about their availability.
