Club Vacancies

Horsham Blue Star Harriers is entirely run by volunteers – and there are currently vacancies in several key volunteer roles. Lots of people, all doing a bit, really helps to spread out the tasks that need doing in order to keep the club running – please consider if you can help by giving some time this season.

Treasurer and Membership Lead 

This role manages the club accounts and membership information and is absolutely critical to the club being able to run. It’s ideally suited to someone with numerical ability who can give some time away from training nights and fixtures.

 Team Manager – Under 14 Girls Track & Field

This role organises and manages the Under 14 girls track & field team competing in the four Sussex Under 14 League fixtures from April to September.

 Team Manager – Under 14 Boys Track & Field

This role organises and manages the Under 14 boys track & field team competing in the four Sussex Under 14 League fixtures from April to September.

 Team Manager – Under 14 Sportshall

This role manages Under 14 girls and boys teams whilst they compete in three Sussex Sportshall League fixtures from October to January.

 Coaches and Coach Helpers

Could you coach or assist a Blue Star coach for one hour per week while your child is training? All Horsham Blue Star coaches are volunteers – so you’ll become part of the volunteer team who all help our athletes to develop their interest in athletics in a friendly club environment.

 Officials for Track & Field

The club is required to supply officials at each Track and Field league fixture. The tasks are easy – raking, taking names, measuring, holding a flag. If you are at a fixture supporting your child, could you also your help by being an official for an event – it will really help the club – and enables all the events to run well for all athletes.

No experience required.
