  1. 11 June 2020

We hope you are all keeping well during this difficult period and doing your best to keep fit and active.

Horsham Blue Star Harriers are mindful of Government guidelines, advice coming from England Athletics, and regulations imposed by the owners (Horsham District Council) and operators (Places for People) of the Bridge Leisure Centre and Track. Until we receive specific information regarding reopening, we are unable to proceed.

We have considered the changing National Picture and relaxation of lockdown rules which will no doubt continue over the coming weeks. With the above parameters in mind, it is our aim to restart some sort of Athletic Activity in September, although this timing must be flexible

The Committee are meeting on a regular basis (video links of course), to establish protocols to be imposed when we are in a position to restart in a safe and secure manner. We must be mindful of the needs of not only our Athletes, but also of our Volunteer Coaches and Officials.

Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you all soon.

  2. Dear Parents and Athletes

Taking into account the continuing uncertainty regarding Coronavirus, daily changes in advice and information received from England Athletics, Horsham Blue Star Harriers have weighed the options.

As a result, we are temporarily suspending all Athletic activity, commencing with training sessions due on Monday 16 March. We have a duty of care to both our Athletes and Coaches, and believe this decision to be in the best interests of all concerned.

When the National situation becomes clearer, we will advise when we will re commence Training.

    Thank You
